I had such a great time yesterday.........with the studio back in a semi- organized state....I pulled out that ohh so Magic clay .......and the fun began! I am a visual learner.......so getting instructions from print......well..just not my thing.....somehow I got it! So.....with torch in hand......MAGIC!
As some of you who follow my ramblings might have picked up on..........I am not only a gypsy spirit......but also......am a Gypsy Artist.....and love every single second of the journey. Even if I wanted to........I doubt if I could stick to one art form......I am always thrilled to learn something new and exciting...........and you?
OK ...that gypsy thing.........I am taking off for ALCATRAZ.......really....San Francisco for the first time ever........any favorite spots you might want to share with Surfer Dude and I?

The Palace of the Fine Arts is really gorgeous. Definitely a must see even if you don't go inside. And of course Alcatraz was really fascinating. Mom and I went about 6 years ago for Spring Break and had a wonderful time. Take comfy shoes though because there we did a whole lot of walking! It's such a pedestrian friendly city. Enjoy your trip!

thanks Nikki, for the compliment on my photos. I'm a visual learner, too, but I learned most of what I know about Photoshop by trial and error. My son taught me some basics, and when I got really stuck I called him. But mostly, it was just me sitting at the computer- it takes time and some patience, and maybe some cursing...

ReplyDeletehmmm ... I remember Alcatraz and actually thought the headphone tour was pretty amazing (a little spooky at times, though) ... as far as San Fran, don't miss MOMA & the murals in the mission district. :)
Ok, so I see a burner and sopem great charms... are you saying you cooked the clay with the burner?? ooh! more please, and yes I am a visual learner too, keeps those classes full us people!
